More About Liz

Let’s Reach Your Goals Together

I’m passionate about what I do, and care a great deal about each one of my clients. I’m looking forward to getting to know you. Below is a little more about me.

 A little more about me:

Before I became a coach, my background was in graphic & web design. I was always interested in the mental health field, but in my early 20s (and for quite a while after), I was too busy making sense of my own struggles to have any real bandwidth for others. I did, however, spend many years writing on my physical & mental health experiences and struggles. You’ll see some of those posts here, on the blog.

When I found my first opportunity to join an amazing company as a coach, I also felt deep within that it was the right time for it.

My personality: Introspective, philosophically-oriented, conscientious, extremely open-minded, ambivert (not really extroverted or introverted), and very humor-oriented. ADHD tendencies, maybe some neurodivergence thrown in there. 🙂

Hobbies: Art, photography, playing flute, piano, and mandolin. I also play the harmonium as part of chanting for meditation. I also love learning languages, and outdoors-y activities like hiking and kayaking. I also still play some video games, but not as much as I used to! (former  WoW nerd here).

I also love: traveling — experiencing new cultures and places I know nothing about, lights me up. I also love cats (I have four!), and pretty much all animals. Also a huge fan of coffee, matcha, and bubble tea. I also light up around creating or being part of a solid community.

More About My Approach

My Philosophy

a At its heart, my coaching is built on a simple belief: meaningful change begins with understanding.

Rather than rushing toward solutions, I believe there’s tremendous value in slowing down, becoming curious, and learning to see ourselves with greater clarity and compassion.

My work blends evidence-informed coaching approaches with contemplative practices that have been explored for thousands of years. I draw from Western psychology—including approaches such as ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and behavior change science—while also integrating practices from mindfulness, meditation, and Eastern philosophy when they serve the person in front of me.

To me, these perspectives aren’t in competition. They complement one another. Western psychology often helps us understand the patterns that shape our lives. Contemplative traditions invite us to relate to those patterns with greater awareness, steadiness, and presence.

Above all, coaching isn’t about fixing people. I believe each of us already carries an innate capacity for wisdom, resilience, and growth. Sometimes what we need isn’t someone to simply give us the answers (there is plenty of that in the world); but rather someone willing to sit beside us long enough with full presence and attention. I may also offer suggestions or an additional perspective where it feels right to do so. But each of my clients is encouraged to lead the session with what they feel will be most helpful.

I hope to create the kind of space in which your own answers have the space and clarity to emerge.

I like to think of my coaching vibe like gathering around a campfire. But why?

People don’t gather around a fire because the fire solves their problems.

They gather because:

  • they can finally exhale
  • stories come out naturally
  • silence isn’t awkward
  • perspective returns
  • everyone is illuminated equally
  • there’s warmth without pressure
  • there’s nowhere else they have to be

Certifications

Headspace Training Institute

2026

On my way to acquire my NBCHWC (National Board Certification of Heath and Wellness Coaches) I went through an additional six month training program with Headspace. I’ll be sitting for the NBCHWC exam in the fall of 2026 🙂

Healthy Gamer Training Institute

2026

As the coaching field is changing, we are held up to specific standards. In order to continue coaching for Healthy Gamer, we need to keep up certain CE (continuing education) requirements as well as a certain number of active coaching clients.

Healthy Gamer

This is where I first got my training to become a coach! I then worked as a contractor coach for healthygamer.gg, starting very part-time at first.
